Folded Plate Packings
Based on flocculation theory in water treatment, an ideal flocculation device should achieve uniform chemical diffusion, gradually decelerated flow to enable continuous flocculation, and increased collision opportunities for particles, ultimately forming dense flocs that are easy to separate. The reaction tank primarily serves the flocculation function, where reaction equipment is installed to ensure thorough mixing and reaction between raw water and coagulant, achieving optimal flocculation conditions.
FEATURES
This packings improve hydraulic flocculation performance by varying the cross-sectional areas of the flow channels. The folded plate structure repeatedly alters the flow pattern, generating pulsated turbulence and energy dispersion, which helps increase the velocity gradient of the water flow and enhances the frequency of floc collisions and therefore overall flocculation efficiency;
The packings feature precise assembly and installation, easy maintenance, and a long service life;
The packings are highly adaptable to variations in water quality and flow-rate and help to save coagulant and other chemical consumption;
No algae growth and excellent flocculation performance are ensured.

TECHNICAL SPECIFICATIONS
A typically hydraulic flocculation tank using this folded plate packings has three flow sections:
Section 1 has a flow velocity through the folded plate packings of 0.30-0.25m/s;
Section 2 has a flow velocity through the folded plate packings of 0.25-0.15m/s;
Section 3 has a flow velocity through the folded plate packings of 0.15-0.05m/s.
A typical hydraulic retention time for these type of hydraulic flocculation is 10 to 20 min in total;
Folding angle is adjustable between 90° - 120°;
Product material: Stainless Steel (SS);
Customized fabrication is available upon customer design requirements.
