V-Notched Weir Overflow/Effluent Launders
The effluent/washwater collection troughs/launders are key components in drinking water and wastewater treatment plants, designed to evenly collect clarified water from the overflow surfaces of clarifiers. Typical applications include: strip-slotted or V-notched weir overflow launders at the outlet ends of horizontal sedimentation tanks, effluent launders on the surface of lamella or inclined tube clarifiers, circular perimeter or radial effluent launders in circular clarifiers of water treatment plants, circular perimeter effluent launders in secondary sedimentation tanks of wastewater treatment plants.
Assembly methods include U-shaped flange connections, connecting plates, and on-site welding.
The launders are assembled using V-notched weir plates connected to the side panels of the main body, through slotted mounting holes allowing on-site adjustable installation. The weir notches are angled at 90°, and commonly available in two standard sizes: 80mm×160mm and 100mm×200mm (depth×width). The launders wall thickness typically ranges from 3 to 6 mm.
