Stainless Steel Washwater Trough
The effluent/washwater collection troughs/launders are key components in drinking water and wastewater treatment plants, designed to evenly collect clarified water from the overflow surfaces of clarifiers. Typical applications include: strip-slotted or V-notched weir overflow launders at the outlet ends of horizontal sedimentation tanks, effluent launders on the surface of lamella or inclined tube clarifiers, circular perimeter or radial effluent launders in circular clarifiers of water treatment plants, circular perimeter effluent launders in secondary sedimentation tanks of wastewater treatment plants.
Assembly methods include U-shaped flange connections, connecting plates, and on-site welding.
This washwater troughs are used in conventional granular media filters to discharge backwash wastewater (washwater). ZCEN washwater troughs are manufactured using high-quality stainless steel with wall thicknesses of 4 to 8 mm. The design specifications are as follows:
The total plan area of the washwater troughs should be less than one-quarter of the filter area;
The center-to-center spacing between troughs is typically 1.5 to 2.1 m, with the maximum trough length not exceeding 6.5 m;
The trough bottoms can be in either a horizontal or sloped direction and in V or semicircular shape.
